Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
A bit more about who we are

What should I expect when I come to NWCC?

  • Expect to be warmly greeted and for it to be a little hard to stay anonymous. In our preaching we strive to say what the Word of God says, which means it can be very direct at times.

What denomination are you part of?

What should I wear to church?

  • Whatever is comfortable for you. Many of our people dress casually.

What translation of the Bible do you use?

  • We value the precision and elegance of the English Standard Version and use this translation during services, Sunday School, and in our Small Groups. All the Scripture references throughout our website are from the ESV.

What do you believe about eschatology (end times)?

  • Our elders and preachers hold to a variety of opinions on eschatology and strongly believe that we must not divide over our views. View our statement of faith.

Is NWCC a politically-active church?

  • We teach that every area of life on earth is to be brought under the Lordship of Jesus: economics, education, family, law, art, and politics. Gospel teaching and principles will make a difference in how our church people engage in all these areas; however our mandate concerns the gospel, not politics.
